Overview

The Advanced Certificate in Attracting and Retaining Female Athletes is an advanced level course which provides key strategies to sporting clubs for supporting female athletes. Participants will learn about cultural and practical barriers that prevent female athletes from thriving, how to overcome them and create the conditions for success. Examining aspects such as language, environment and traditional paradigms, participants will develop a framework for the practices needed to retain these athletes in what is becoming an increasingly competitive environment.

Chelsea Roffey is a speaker, author, researcher and Winston Churchill Fellow who has travelled the globe examining the barriers and opportunities of diversity. Coupling her unique narrative as the AFL’s first female Grand Final umpire with world’s best practice, her insights are backed by evidence-based data brought to life by real stories.
